Vivobarefoot Tundra ESC Mens – Obsidian
Michelin outsole with 7 mm lugs and a removable wool felt inner boot provide grip and insulation in dry cold.
Description
Minimalist expedition boot for Arctic conditions with a Michelin outsole (2.5 mm base, 7 mm lugs), a removable wool felt inner boot and a breathable construction designed for dry cold down to -15 degrees.
- Michelin outsole: The outsole has a 2.5 mm base and 7 mm deep lugs that provide grip on uneven terrain. Articulated toe lugs act like claws on ascents, while the heel lug brakes on descents.
- Insulated inner boot: The 5 mm thick lining of 100% wool felt provides warmth and has natural antibacterial properties. It can be removed separately for drying and maintenance.
- Breathable construction: Designed for dry cold without waterproof membranes. Permeable layers let vapour escape, preventing moisture build-up in cold conditions.
- Flexible outer boot: The shell can be folded and rolled up for packing. It weighs 1148 g per shoe (EU 42) and allows natural foot movement despite its robust construction.
- Reinforced panels: Wild Hide leather with reinforced panels provides durability in harsh conditions. Green laces with TPU hardware ensure an adjustable fit along the tall shaft.
